You can do with E/Mo, 4 sup water runes (cheaper ones xD) and 1 sup energy storage, the rest is up to you. Much slower, but it works. Now its almost 4 minutes to kill 3 aatxes so I'll stick to Hydras, i can do 10-12 of them in 1 minute since I start damaging them.

EDIT: I'm not interested in Fissure armor, so I don't mind about ectos, and I dont really need [more] money so the gold drops from the Hydras are more interesting.

Lukoi use your head man. Also dont make stupid comments like monks are the only class that can solo UW. I've said it a million times that even W/R's can solo UW.....not just smites but pretty much the entire thing. They dont rely on any enchants whatsoever. Also the new 55 monk builds are much much faster at solo'n than the old prot bond ones were.

If you've only just completed your 55 monk then you're out of luck in using that build. People who have already been using the 55 monk probably have offset the cost of the build with whatever farming they've been able to do with it.

The farming monk is far from useless, though. The 55 monk soloer is only one way to solo farm. There are plenty others (even though the 55 and it's variations were best for the UW).

Which must be especially true for the people who used the price reset to get the required items for the build... they would've broken even on the first 5 runs orso...

I knew there would be bitching no matter what they did on the issue. The 55/105 builds still work. Try not copying your builds from forums such as these and getting innovative and making it work for yourself. IMO, they should switch everything up every few weeks to throw off Flavor of the Month players that don't know how to make a build for themselves.

55 monk = all players who aren't skilled

only acception is the genius who created it.

They shouldn't have to nerf skills to change the "template of the month".

If they are then they are admitting design flaws and exposing themselves to deeper ones. They should have just added mesmers to UW.

so you have no idea what you're talking about?

the 105/85/55 idea is used in a number of different builds...so only the person that originally thought of the idea to stack runes is intelligent?

I'm sorry to sound like a |\|008, but what exactly is UW, and what is this 105/85/55 thing?

And BTW, its exception, not acception.

The fact protective bond nerf has made it harder for you to solo suggests Anet are heading in the right direction, the Underworld isn't intended to be solo'd, I don't think they'd approve of people getting 6 or however many ectoplasms in such a short space of time. I suppose that's partially their fault by thinking making enemies hit for 200'ish will make things harder, when they should know a lot of the monks protective skills help against it... they need to throw a few mesmers in there
